Founded by a Daughter of the Caldera
Elena Vassilakis was born in a whitewashed house in Oia, four hundred and twenty steps above the harbour. As a girl she watched her grandmother arrange jasmine and oleander for village weddings, learned from her father how to read the wind off the Aegean, and slipped, summer after summer, into the courtyards where neighbours danced until the moon set behind Therasia.
She left the island to study event design in Milan and London, where she spent eight years coordinating private celebrations for European families. But Santorini called her home. In 2009 she returned and founded what would become the island's most trusted wedding planning studio — built on one quietly ambitious idea: that destination weddings deserve a planner who is not a visitor here, but a native.
Today Santorini.Wedding is a small, deliberately selective studio. We accept fewer than thirty weddings each year so that every couple receives the full attention of a senior planner, a creative director, and a dedicated on-the-day coordination team. We measure success not in volume, but in the moment our couples cry the first time they see what we have created for them.
